From an environmental perspective, paper-based cushion packaging is more environmentally friendly compared to plastic-based cushion packaging
Paper-based cushion packaging, such as kraft paper cushion packaging, honeycomb paper, and corrugated paper, has the advantage of being renewable as its raw material comes from trees. Additionally, these paper-based packaging materials have a relatively low impact on the environment during production, use, and disposal. Treated kraft paper materials can degrade naturally quickly without the need for artificial processing, further reducing their environmental impact. Moreover, paper-based packaging offers high design flexibility, allowing for customized designs according to the shape of the product, ensuring good cushioning effects while meeting individual packaging needs.
However, plastic-based cushion packaging, such as EPE (expanded polyethylene) and EPS (expanded polystyrene), while possessing excellent cushioning properties and durability, may cause environmental pollution during production and use. These materials are difficult to degrade in natural environments, and long-term accumulation can lead to serious pollution issues, threatening ecological balance.
Therefore, from an environmental perspective, paper-based cushion packaging is more environmentally friendly. However, in selecting cushion packaging, it is necessary to comprehensively consider factors such as product characteristics, transportation conditions, and cost to choose the most suitable packaging material.
